This was a three day Show that included several workshops each day. The workshops ranged from quilting, beading, purse making, sewing techniques, fabrics, threads, wearables. There were 220 quilts on display and a lot were art quilts. I find a lot of ideas for clothing from quilts and a lot of inspiration in fabrics and colors. There were also approx 50 vendors. Most were quilting vendors but there were a few there that had nice, and unusual textiles. There were Japanese panels (which are great for jackets and purses) and silks and Guatamalan textiles. There were also a few of the sweatshirt into jacket patterns and embellishments. And finally, Ott lite distributor, jewelry and books.
The workshops were the best and very well organize and put together. The show is every year in March and can easily be viewed in one day, but the workshops will bring you back. |
