Keeping a nail file handy in the sewing room helps to save your fine fabrics. There is nothing worse than snagging your treasured fabrics while handling them yourself. I find it especially useful in the winter months when the air is dry and my nails are brittle.

	Dale C said... I don't have long fingernails to snag fabrics, but my skin sometimes gets very dry and can catch on the fibers. I make sure to keep a good bottle of hand lotion near my bed to put on my hands morning and night. 1/3/03 4:02 AM
