this is not a sewing tip, but you may have come across the problem.I had to have my pantry fogged because of a problem with tiny bugs everywhere even in my unopen boxes. the smell from the fog would not go away, I use everything !So owning a coupel of Italian restaurants I have a lot of basil and rosemary around. I cut four inches or so of both herbs and placed them in my pantry, within the hour the smell was gone and has not returned, My husband thought I was a genius111 lol

Thankyou so much for this, Mamay. I shall hurry away and try this on a sadly unsavoury cupboard - and it's contents! My Rosemary hedge could do with a good trim, so your Tip will solve two problems in one. :-)

Oh, nice idea! I too, have a run-away rosemary bush.

Rather interestingly I have a spray can of 'Bioganic Safety Brands' crawling insect spray (no affiliation whatsoever) that has as its primary ingredient --- Rosemary Oil --- I bought it because it is supposed to be safe to use around children and pets. It does seem to work and the rosemary scent is much nicer than the usual chemical bug sprays. Perhaps even using bits of the herb may help deter those bugs in the future.
