I recently attending this class taught by Pam Damour also know as the "Decorating Diva" at the Rocky Mountain Sewing Fesitval in Billings, Mt. We got off to a rough start because
Pam's flight was delayed and then cancelled causing her to be three hours late for a four hour class. She was kind enough to meet with us through the lunch break and also after the afternoon class.

This was a technique class. The class included kits for each technique. It would have been more helpful if she had included more information or drawings of each technique.

Pam is very talented but a bit impatient when asked to help with an individual technique once she has shown it. I think that the kits didn't have as much detail as I would of liked because Pam has a new book and DVD's to sell.

In the afternoon I took a class from her on mastering miters. This was also a good class with kits to help with each technique.

Pam is very enthusiastic and enjoys what she does. I do have two of her DVD's and they are very well done. I would highly recommend her DVD's if you are interested in home decoration. I personally wouldn't pay to attend another of her classes in person as she wasn't as careful being sure that the students were getting her techniques as most instructors I have enjoyed studying under.

I took Pam's "Mastering Miters" class at the sewing expo in Overland Park and I thought that she did a very good job with her teaching skills. She was very patient with all of us in the class and when we had questions about something that she had just finished demonstrating she came and showed us the skill personally. Sorry you didn't have a good experience with her class.

Thanks for this information. I notice she is coming to Clearwater, FL for the sewing expo. I may skip her classes, and just order the DVD's. (I already have three and enjoy them.)

I totally agree with you! I have taken this class as well with disappointing results. Too much talking about herself.
