To finish the raw edges on woven nylon fabrics to keep them from unraveling, or to finish the seam edges when using nylon fabric, sear the edges. Hold the raw edge of the fabric tightly, and pass the edge over the lower part of a candle flame. A small bead of melted fibers will form, forming a seal.
