This hem gives the look of a cuff, but it is actually a tunred up hem, sticthed on the inside.
Step 1: Turn up hem, then fold hem back toward the garment's right side into position for bilnd hemming
Step 2: Stitch just a bit to the left of the top fold, using either a narrow zig zag or overlock stitch.
Step 3: Open the hem out. Do not press flat. The little roll between the garment and hem makes it look like an attached cuff. |
I'm having a hard time believing this is going to look good, especially without pressing...what kind of fabric did you use this technique on?
