Is the white a true white?

Hi everyone!
I'm new here. I picked up some glorious dark colored coating from EmmaOneSock and need a pure white opaque satin coat lining for it. I am looking at Kasha Satin Winter Coat Lining. After a visit to the local fabric store, I found satins that are called "white", but are actually ivory or light gray. They didn't have satin coat linings in white, anyway.

Does anyone have personal experience with the white Kasha coat lining? Is it a true white? And also, is it opaque? The coat material is dark and I don't want that to show through the lining.

Thanks for any comments!

some white lining may have a yellowish color to it. this lining looks like it has that. If you want more white white. look for one that has a blueish color. Coat lining is a little more heavier it shouldn't show through. What color is the coat? Maybe do the lining a little bit lighter them the coat. like what you mention light grey.
hope this helps

Yeah, the picture is what makes me wonder, which is why I am hoping someone here has actually seen this fabric in white. If I can't get a clear answer, I have to order a swatch which takes time away from getting this project underway. The coat is a dark fur on the outside and snow white fur on the inside of the hood, down through the front panels. The white fur then switches to the proposed white satin lining for the rest of the inside. Since the lining must be a continuation of the white fur, it has to match. I doubt an off-white would work.

It looks like they have a separate listing for an ivory kasha satin, so there's a chance it could be white white... why not call or e-mail their customer service and ask?

I sent them a query last night, but they might not want to say, based on their FAQ. They could be reluctant to give color comments. Still waiting to hear back from them. I'm hoping to get feedback here so I can place an order asap. Perhaps they will tell me whether there is a color cast, but you guys might know, too. :)

I heard from VogueFabrics, the seller, and the word is:
"The white Kasha is more of an eggshell white (more like a white wool) not a stark white like a polyester."
I followed up, asking if they could identify any color cast, and they said:
"The consensus is that it is slightly yellow, not gray."
