I posed this question in the $20,000.00 thread but thought I'd give it it's own thread since I think this might be a really nice machine?

Pfaff 360 for $150.00

Comes with all original acessories. Very well kept. Owned for over 10 years. In excellent condition. Comes with 19 needles, 2 replacement lightbulbs, and other accesories and attachments. Also comes with Owner's manual. Comes with stitch wheel which is alone worth $15. http://pages.sewing-machine-manuals.com/173/PictPage/3923475728.html

Also comes with Roll hemmer, Hemmer foot, Felling foot, Edge stitcher, Buttonhole foot, Braiding foot, Darning foot, Bobbin.

I think I'd have to hear it, I love the purr of sewing machines and the feel of them. Now, if a Viking 6570 -- working or not -- was available for $150.00, I wouldn't ask! ;)

I'm not familiar with Pfaff models or values, nor with machine prices in your area, but all that said, this seems to be one of those that teeters on the edge of too expensive. However, if you look at it, try it out, and it seems to be something you want, the only remaining question is whether you're going to feel good or bad after paying your money and walking away with it.

And therein lies the problem.

I've purchased a few vintage Singers which I later realized weren't worth the money I paid and therefore have buyers remorse. Don't get me wrong, they're great strong sewing machines but I think now that $50.00 is a bit much for a Singer 347.

This is a tank, they sometimes get frozen from not using the decorative stitches but it is easier and cheaper to fix then the Viking 6570 you mentioned. You can spend up to $300 getting the Viking un frozen.
I had a 362 which I gave my Sister in Law and she loves it! That is a very good price. The only problem with these machines is they don't die.
