This book was released last Tuesday, April 2 and has 15 patterns sized for the larger figure. The patterrns are on an included CD, as well as graphed patterns in the back if the book.

the book at Amazon

Here's a link to the author's Spring/Summer collection. Many of these designs are in the book, although not all.

Collection

The pattern sizes are listed as size 1, 2, and 3 and correspond to US dress sizes 10-28, although some patterns start at 12 or 14. Since the designs are loose fitting, complete accuracy isn't that important.

I just noticed that the one review on Amazon isn't favorable as the reviewer has an issue with the subtitle...Easy Sew Clothes. She does say that she hasn't made anything yet and her issue is the amount of pattern pieces.

The suggested layout in the book shows a single layer...in the skirt she mentioned several of the pieces need to be cut 4 times...or twice if you fold your fabric. The layouts look intimidating, but don't seem that difficult to sew.

I am looking forward to trying the clothes out! Lots of nice designs. I am not looking forward to the printing, I have to admit, but c'est la vie.

I like the cropped jacket that i think is in the book - a lot.

So, tell me, when you print the patterns, can they only be printed on standard paper? Any way to work with it to use a large paper printer at Kinko's? Or, to at least print on 17 x 11 paper?

Can you believe I have never printed a pattern?

Thank you.

I just posted my review....under Master Pattern book...simple tunic.

.review

I do like the fit..last year I made a Sewing Workshop top and ended up taking about 6" off of each side!! This fits almost perfectly..no really oversized that much..of course that could be my body!!

I made the size 2 and normally sew an 18 in the big 4...16 in StyleArc.

That I don't know...I was worried that they would be on A4aper, but the book does give the American size for the paper. Why don't you take the cd to Kinko's and try it?

Anyone elso familiar with copy shop printing?

I took the Tessuti Lily dress pattern on a flash drive to Thompson Blueprint Company. They charged me $10.00. I haven't used it yet.
