Can anyone recommend a motorcycle jacket pattern? I've seen the HotPatterns one, just wondering if there were any others.

Thanks :)

I'm looking for one too.
So anyone know of any patterns

I did a muslin of the KwikSew jacket today. It fits exactly like this white one fits the model on the pattern envelope. A bit roomy and mostly boxy. This can be a good thing, just depends on what one is looking for. It's a great pattern in that it is simple to sew and everything fits together perfectly.

Hmm, that may be a goer, I'd prefer something not quite so boxy though I think. I like how the Hot Patterns one has the princess seams? I've found that those seams give me quite a nice shape. I'd get that pattern, but I'm too cheap to pay $43 for one single pattern

$43 for ONE pattern?!?

Do you get Burda magazine (or know someone who does)? The December '09 issue had this motorcycle jacket with princess seams and February '10 had this one that looks a little less fitted.

Yip, unfortunately it's $43 for me to get ONE Hot Pattern
And I don't fit Burda styles unless they are plus size. Maybe I'll just fork out for the hot pattern one.

Snuzal,

Is it because of where you live? I just looked it up and it says....$18.45. Not sure about shipping.

Vogue 2973 (the Claude Montana jacket) has been favourably reviewed here and is just now going out of print so it's still easy to pick up in the next online sale.

Otherwise, the BurdaStyle Larissa biker jacket is only a fiver, but it only goes up to a size 42, so I don't know if that would work for you.

I have the voque pattern 2973. But that burda pattern 6032 looks great i think i'm going to order that one and combin the vogue back and the front of the burda pattern. love it.
