The skaters?

We must all think alike because I was wondering the same thing. I did see her post something earlier today so I know she's around. Seems like she posted (not too long ago) that she had a big competition coming up and she has been sewing for her teammates. So that's probably kept her away.

Hi everyone! *blushing* nice to know I'm missed. I was wondering if anyone would think I dropped off the face of the earth or not. I had a *ton* of work to do getting outfits ready for the last competition. I finally finshed the last one of the bunch today (she's for a different competition). I came down with Bronchitis this weekend so I've been dead to the world since. I really want to get sewing again! (For me, anyway!)

I dream of Jeannie costume

Hawaii 5-0 costume

Purple outfit

Pink and Black outift

Pink and Coral dress that is my favorite. The picture honestly doesn't do it justice. It is a little plain because There aren't any crystals on it. Normally I wouldn;t let a mom crystal a dress I made, but this girl's mom is way better than me so I am sure it will be beautiful. It has an under layer of coral lycra, with an over layer of mesh that is ruched down the center. THe mesh is dyed from light pink to a coral-mango color. THe skirt is double layer chiffon, dip dyed in matching colors.

On top of that I've made 8 matching practice dresses and 4 other practice dresses. Whew!

But I am done now...for a bit. So hopefully I can be on PR more and do some reviews. Look for the commentary soon on some of the girl's dresses from the olympics. I especially can't wait for the ladies freeskate! :)

You are truly amazing. Those are all fantastic! I can't believe you do that, hold down an full-time job, have a social life, skate competitively yourself, AND sew!!! Wow.

SewingSkater, your talents are unlimited and i too wonder how you squeeze everything into a day.
The costumes are beautiful !
Thank you for them sharing with us.

I have been an ice skating fan for many years, can't skate to save my life though When Torvil and Dean toured Australia for the last time, we went to see them twice, sitting in different positions each time. They retired soon after.
