Date: 3/8/06 12:34 PM Does anyone know of a source for silk tropical print fabric (a la Tommy Bahama shirts for men)? I have googled my brains out with no luck.
Although the Tommy bahama shirts are often done in drapey silk jacquard this is not the kind of fabric I am thinking of. The type of fabric used in these tropical print shirts is a plain weave fabric with a similar hand to rayon. It is definitely not a "silkie" like a crepe de chine. ------ Laura |

Have you looked at the rayon Bali Batiks at equilter?
They also have some tropical prints in rayons and other fabrics here.
I've ordered from them before and have been really pleased with their service (NAYY).

Date: 3/8/06 2:18 PM Silk is hard to find in that kind of print. This site has rayon tropicals. I have bought from them, and they have been reviewed by others, there is some special coupon in the review. What I like is you can request 5 samples before you buy, no charge.Hawaiian Prints ------ Kimberly |
