Has anyone used any of the Simplicity patterns that have the separate fronts for B, C & D cups?

I was wondering if they are really that different? I have DD and would need to do FBA anyway, but other than that?

I made a jacket a while ago with these and also a shirt (they had a line of this type of pattern before which are discontinued) It went together great and fit well. I have to say I don't have many fitting challenges, so perhaps I am not a good litmus test either!

I am an unholy nightmare of fitting challenges and I LOVE the B C D cup patterns I am also a "full D" to DD. I recently made 4081 and adore the fit other than the swayback adj. I had to do very little tweaking! It fit so well that I used it as as the basis to make a fitting double.

Oooooh, this is so exciting to hear!
Did you have to do a FBA on the D cup for a DD cup?
How did the shoulder width fit?
Did you do a review? I must have missed it. Do you have photos of the jacket?

Thanks for endorsing this. I have two of these multicup patterns that today I am going to move to the top of the to-do list.

What about us poor little A cups???? I'll have to look for these, though. It will probably be easier enough to go smaller.

I'm right there with ya, sister. Sometimes, I think it's some kind of conspiracy against the lesser endowed.

I actually wrote to Simplicity about excluding us A cups. Seems a little biased to only to B, C, and D--expecially when the article promoting this pattern line had "the A, B, Cs of (I can't remember" in the title.

I didn't do a review yet, I was doing the jacket as part of Shannon's flip and stitch class and got side tracked -story of my life! I haven't finished it yet the shoulders fit great. You can see the fitting double I made on my blog If you read through it says where I had to adjust to get a skin tight fit That's an important distinction because your clothes don't fit that way!

A while ago ( a year? two years?), there was a review of a Simplicity blouse or jacket that had the B-C-D fronts. The reviewer commented that the cup seemed very generous and that she thought one cup-size down would have done just fine. If they are still being generous, the D might work very well for D-plusses.

I've made Simplicity 9668 (OOP? - classic tailored jacket with shawl collar) from this range from a couple of years ago with a D cup (I am a DD) and I have to say it's perfect and only needed a small sleeve length alteration. I've made this up about three times now. I've been eyeing off the new shrunken jackets in this range but I keep telling myself they aren't a good look with my large midsection.
