Hi, I'm a bit uncertain where to post this but hopefully this is the right place.

Anyway, I will be staying in Vienna (Europe) for a couple of days and I was hoping to do some fabric-shopping during this time. I've searched both this message board and googled it, but with no luck. It would be nice to have found at least one or two places that are fabric or sewing related before the trip.

If anyone has experience or just ideas on how to find shops in Vienna, I would be grateful! :)

Ok, this is only a translation from a German sewing community, I've never been in any of those shops (but maybe I will soon, I hope so)

Brunnenmarkt/Neulerchenfelderstrasse - There are many shops from turkish owners. Fabric is quite inexpensive there, many remnant tables/boxes

Komolka Jakob
Seide u Wollstoffe Textileinzelhandel
Mariahilfer Strasse 58, 1070 Wien
and
Komolka Jakob
Seide u Wollstoffe Textileinzelhandel
Laxenburger Strasse 73, 1100 Wien
The second shop is much smaller and sometimes fabrics are cheaper there than on Mariahilfer Strasse

Firma Lichtenegger
Haslingergasse 23
17. Bezirk
for leather only

Then there is Textil Müller, they seem to have a small shop in Vienna, but there's no adress given only for the shop in Kritzendorf (Durchstichstrasse 2) but that's outside Vienna

And if you visit one of those shops, maybe you could let me know if it was worthwile, thank you :)

Have you checked store review´s ? I got informations there when visiting Paris
When I was in Berlin a couple of years ago I checked the phonebook and found some nice stores.
If everyone here on PR reviewed the stores in their towns it would be a great sorce!
