Does anyone know anything about the Marie Osmond eM1 Emotions Embroidery machine by Bernina? What do you get if you don't join the Embroidery Club? Does it have one-step buttonholes?

That machine is an embroidery only machine, it doesn't sew seams or buttonholes, it only embroiders.

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Has anyone tried this machine or heard any comments about it? It was launched with a big promotional campaign a year or two ago but I haven't heard anything about it since. Allbrands has them for $499 or best offer on eBay. Just wondering if it's a worthwhile machine. I'm mostly interested in monogramming so the 4x4in. embroidery field doesn't bother me.
TIA,
Sue

This machine has not received the greatest of reviews. I haven't used it myself but I did look at it a couple of years ago at a Bernina dealer that was inside a Jo-Ann's store. Personally, I wouldn't buy it. You can get a much better stand-alone emb. machine for $500 than the eMotion machine. Brother makes a decent stand-alone emb. machine. I think it is called the 270D. JMHO about the eMotion.
