For those of you who use this fabulous fabric regularly - do you prewash? Tips greatly appreciated...

Anne, here's a sewing guide from the Emmaonesock website. Shannon Gifford explains Everything You Wanted to Know about Rayon/lycra Jersey here. And yes, I prewash it to avoid shrinkage disasters down the road.

I preshrink anything with lycra. I have had too many things end up way too snug without it.

Christine Jonson insists that with HER patterns (just hers) you should shrink with the iron after sewing but most people here seem to have ignored this suggestion with no ill effect.
I just prewashed and dried a bunch of rayon and cotton lycra blends yesterday. SUCH nice stuff!
I am going for a level of perfection that is only mine... Most of the pleasure is in getting that last little piece perfect...Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just keep showing up and doing the work.

I have some of lucy's rayon lycra fabrics. I've prewashed them all. They soften up even more!
