Messages to online classes board - Fit for beginners How do you know they were sent and received?

I read the caption about the messages being hidden before they go public, but I see that at least one response by the instructor was sent to someone else since my initial message. I then sent a follow up message asking if my first message was received. Still, no response. What am I doing wrong? The first chat is on 9/22 and I have no feeback as to the pattern selection. I waited...I posted again... and still, no feedback although other people are getting their messages posted and receiving responses. This is my first online class so how does one know that their post has gone through? Unlike the regular boards, once I post message, my message remains on the screen and nothing happens. Clearly, mine are not going anywhere. Thanks

I just figured out the problem as I tried to retrace my steps again - it needed a "subject/ title" which I didn't realize had to be there or else the message doesn't go through at all. I just posted a "test" message and finally saw it on the board. Thanks
