changed my mind...deleted original post....hope it won't bump this back up....

What I should have said: no one should leave, because we need to stick together, because otherwise no-sew fleece ponchos will take over the sewing world. I'm sure JoAnn's or Walmart or maybe the CIA is secretly behind any nasty messages trying to break up our community.

Re: original post...no need to tell me I'm too mouthy at times. I live with a 6YO DD who is a miniature copy of me.

I was just going to begin a new topic and title it "STOP saying goodby and GO" because I am not on this to gossip. This Misc. topic area was for Fun, with the sewing topics being the main focus. Somehow Misc. became almost, if not more, important than the sewing!

This is not a "public" forum and I am tired of reading whining. If I want to read a whine I can click on a specific Misc. topic or begin a new one without interjecting a dialogue into another topic.. even in Misc.

I haven't posted much lately- too busy- but check in all the time to read posts and reviews. Have no idea whats going on and don't care- love this site.

I must say tho I am always stunned too when someone has to post to say that they are leaving due to this or that, all I can say if you don't like it here then leave, but if you stay quit bitching about everything.

Having had a bit more coffee now, I wish I hadn't posted that---sorry guys. I'm not going to delete it because then anyone who didn't read it may go back and think I said something worse. Anyway, I realize that my heart is not in my sewing as much as it is for others (my kids are 3 and 6.some weeks I can hardly squeeze out 2 hours of sewing time.) I can see why it is a more emotional thing for those who sew professionally and/or contribute often to the site.

Debbie has stayed to work things out, and I'm glad. I hope others will do the same and that we can end this trend of public bridge-burning.

There is this phenomenon that goes on in internet forums - - periodically, someone gets offended about something and makes a big announcement that they are leaving because people on the board are behaving in an unacceptable fashion. It's not just here. Believe me, it's RAMPANT on computer tech forums. Sometimes, people will post repeatedly over a period of weeks that they will never darken the door again, not if you begged me to stay, yada, yada. This typically triggers a response from the other members. It's pretty funny, really.

Anyway, a similar statement was made here and some fairly mild-mannered replies were made.

So that's what's been going on!
