Date: 10/18/06 11:31 AM The NE Cooperative Extension Web site often had really great resources in their textile section. I was looking for an article about matching stripes this morning (linked from the knowledge base), and sadly, it seems to be gone. Does anyone know what happened? It looks like the whole textile section is gone. Maybe there's another way to get to those articles? |

Date: 10/18/06 3:31 PM The Extensions don't think people sew any more. HOWEVER...I did telephone the NE Extension don't know where their textile info is, but it is just gone.
TX has an excellent site even with info about fitting it is here: Texas Cooperative Extension BookstoreUnder the "topic" list click on "clothing." You can download TONS of info for free if you have Acrobat Reader.

That seems to bring up at least some:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://ianrpubs.unl.edu/textiles/
an old NU index page
I just tested on of the links on the index page, and although slow, it seems to work.
Wow, that must use a lot of storage space.

Date: 10/18/06 10:12 PM I've heard that they're updating the information, but I don't know why they seem to have removed the link or left it off accidentally. I have notified them that there's a problem, so we'll see what happens.
AnneM, The link you provided seems to be working quickly for me. ------ Liana

Date: 10/20/06 12:58 PM The Nebraska info has been gone a long time. Here is a really great site with such wonderful coverage of sewing:

Hope this helps someone.
