Subject: Washing Wools Date: 12/10/06 9:16 AM

Hi! I am very interested to learn more about wools. I live in Canada and I am always cold during winter time. So, wools seem a good choice for me. However, I do not like dry cleaning. This is why I usually avoid wools. If I take the class are we going to talk about dry cleaning alternative?
Thanks :-)

Hi Juli_et,

I will discuss caring for and cleaning wool garments: airing, brushing, storing, dry-cleaning and the different methods of dry-cleaning, and laundering. And I will discuss washing wool fabrics -- obviously not all wools can be laundered, but we'll discuss how to tell, how to pre-treat, etc.

If you have other questions about the class, please let me know. I'm happy to answer them.

Louella,

Maybe I'll "see" you in class the next time I offer it. Have fun on your vacation.

Subject: pressing and pre-treatment Date: 7/22/08 2:40 PM

I have little confidence about how to pre-treat wool fabrics before uisng them, and how to press them during garment construction.

Are these topics covered ?
Thank you.

Hi Lisanne,

I discuss both pre-treating wools and pressing wools quite a bit in the lessons. And of course I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you had on the class board or during a chat. Let me know if you have any other questions about the class -- I'm happy to answer.
