Date: 1/19/07 4:37 AM If you're coming to check out the plans, the best place to go is the yahoo group PRSDU weekend - you can register which activities you are planning to attend.
But, in a nutshell:
Fri afternoon (if I can organise it) a visit to a wardrobe/costuming dept.
Fri night dinner
Sat - fabric shopping
Sun fitting workshop
Let us know asap if you need accommodation.
Cheers,
Mel

Hi everyone.
If you would like to participate in the next weekend down under, here's the thread to put in your 2 cents worth.
Location? The only contenders would be Melbourne & Sydney. (I like Melbourne because we can capitalise on the planning and experience from last year.) But, Sydneysiders, voice your opinion and offer your organisational skills if you want it to be in Sydney.
Dates? Easter is the first week of April. It looks like the school hol's are spread across April, so perhaps we should look at May?
April school holidays are :
ACT 14 April - 29 April
NSW 6 April - 22 April
NT 6 April - 15 April
Qld 6 April - 16 April
SA 14 April - 29 April
Tas 6 April - 13 April
Vic 31 March - 15 April
WA 5 April - 22 April
Lets get this moving!

Date: 1/19/07 5:25 AM I like Sydney, because it only seems fair seeing as we had it in Melbourne last year. But on the other hand I'm in Melbourne so I'm hardly going to complain if that's the consensus. I'll be there either way
I have used 50% of my fabric from last year. Can anyone beat that? (Of course it helps that I did not buy a suitcase full - not looking at anyone in particular Vonne. ) Unfortunately I won't be wearing them because some were children's clothes and the other a bad idea. |

Date: 1/19/07 1:41 PM As I will leave New Zealand permanently on March 16 I will not be able to make it.
Really a bit sad about that. I am going to miss you all. I will still lurk on the thread of course, but it won't be the same

Date: 1/19/07 2:29 PM I wish I could come but I don't think I will be able to make.
Melborne sounds good also but then Sidney would be nice been there once about 24years ago.

Date: 1/19/07 5:27 PM Me too - I would love to come! The first couple of weeks in May would suit me best and while I really have no preference for either Melbourne or Sydney, I don't know any fabric shops in Sydney so it would be good to go to Cabramatta and elsewhere. The disadvantage of Sydney is that I could drive up which means a significant risk of buying a car full of fabric ------ Jude in Bungendore, NSW |

Date: 1/19/07 7:42 PM Kathleen - way to go on sewing half! That's great.
I'd be happy to make it Sydney, I'd have to bring a possibly crawling baby though. Either Melbourne or Sydney my participation will be limited. (better start storing b/milk now!)
Mothers Day is in May isn't it? Second Sunday? I think avoiding that weekend would be good. So what about the 4-6th May?

Date: 1/19/07 10:30 PM Hello everyone, I would love to come, if possible. However, May is impossible for me. I play in a musical production each year...in May! That's why I didn't come last year. Of course, if it suits the majority, I understand, but thought I might as well mention it since it is being planned just now.
Melbourne is better for me than Sydney but I can catch a plane to either!
