Date: 1/23/07 8:53 AM I know we used to have a topic on this but it has fallen by the wayside. Anyone interested in getting it started again now that Deepika has added this new "topic" header.
I've been in the stash contest - mainly sewing up some knits into tops. Yesterday I found some Juliette in a really nice denim blue color which, of course, I had to buy. Now what to do with it?? I bought 1.5 yds but could go get more. I'd like something other than a plain t-shirt. ------ www.thereisjoyadventures.blogspot.com |

1 member likes this. Date: 1/23/07 9:01 AM Peggy -- I think the juliette knit (I've used it before) would work well for the princess tee I just made: Vogue 8323.. This pattern has a more relaxed fit than many tees, helping hide a variety of lumps and bumps.
I have also used Juliette for the Kwik Sew yoga pants pattern. It worked great. -- Edited on 1/23/07 9:03 AM -- ------ Carolyn

Date: 1/23/07 9:06 AM Karla had mentioned using it for yoga pants. I had not thought of that but may have to get some more. I just made a princess t - Georgie Girl by Emma Seabrooke. Really liked that pattern. I saw your review - the princess lines give us a little more fitting leeway. ------ www.thereisjoyadventures.blogspot.com |

Date: 1/23/07 9:21 AM Irina I especially like the neckline of the sleeveless green tee in the center. How similar is the side shaping to the others? Would it be feasible to alter the armhole to match the armscye of the others and add the sleeve? ------ Buy the best and you only cry once.

Date: 1/23/07 10:05 AM Wouldn't you just use the side panels and sleeves from B or C? No altering armholes required. Or, in reverse ... use the middle panels for A with the neckline you like and the sides/sleeves from the other. I think this pattern is meant to be interchanged that way. ------ --

Date: 1/23/07 10:47 AM Stitchology -- all three views use the same side panels. Only the CF and CB are different. The sleeveless view just uses bias tape or turn-under-and-topstitch. If I were making it sleeveless, I would cut the armhole a little higher though. ------ Carolyn

Date: 1/23/07 11:10 AM Peggy, I think Emma Seabrook is going to be at ETA - I really want to give her patterns a good look. That Georgie Girl T is one I've been thinking I would try. ------ --Robyn

Date: 1/23/07 11:46 AM She is going to be there. Actually, I took a class from her last year - I think maybe Leslie was in that class. I would like to take another one. She is supposed to have really good knits. Something for us to check out. ------ www.thereisjoyadventures.blogspot.com |

Date: 1/23/07 1:45 PM Juliette is a knit that I've bought at Hancock's in the past. It is a blend of poly, cotton and lycra. ------ Carolyn
