Wow! That is too sweet - you may not be long and lean, but you are cute and voluptuous, or at least this sweater makes you look so. I'd leave it be and not add any to the bottom. The satin ribbon tie sounds like it'd be just right. If you fastened it with a brooch, would that be at the hip? That'd be pretty too.

Thanks yall! I always get nervous and unsure about my knits... I love knitting and having a cute finished object to wear, but then I get self-conscious that people will know I made it and that it may not look great on me, and so I don't end up actually wearing much that I've knit.

If I fasten it with a brooch, it would be at the hip, yes... but I don't know now, after thinking more about that option, if it would work, because I wasn't thinking of how HEAVY the brooches I already have and the ones I normally see are. This sweater is made of delicate, wonderfully soft, beautiful, non-itchy, fluffy angora... and highlight delicate! The yarn broke several times when I forgot how delicate it was and pulled on it like I was knitting with wool. Seaming with it was a PAIN! So I would have to find a really light brooch to use.

My favorite was the idea of the ribbon, just for the ties. I wondered if it might be too "little girl" for me (something I have to think of since I'm so small and am often mistaken for being under 18, when I'll be 24 tomorrow!). I'm not sure why people think I'm so young when I don't have a "little girlish" figure, but just because I'm so short, they do! Not too long ago, some students who were probably younger than I tried to recruit me for freshman orientation!

I think you should leave it just as-is, actually.

The ribbon would be very cute, but you would get carded anywhere you go. Most brooches are too heavy, although if you could find a light one that would be nice.

And I don't think it needs anything else. This is a style where the style itself is the feature, not ornamentation. And the shorter layer over a longer layer is the style for women in your age range.

Just my 2 cents...

Leave it as is. It's soooo cute. The color is also lovely on you. I would love to make something like that someday.

Girl, you are too fast. I've been working on my sweater for almost 2 years now! (Granted, I don't knit very often, but still! ) Very pretty, beautiful color. And it is a nice style on you, shows your curves nicely.

Thank you! Actually, I started this sweater in August, so I'm not really that fast. I haven't worked on only it (I switch around on projects a lot), but it did take me much longer than it would most people, I think. But it was totally worth the work... I adore it!
