Onion patterns (from Denmark) has a new website

Onion

and some new patterns for 2007. I'll probably be ordering all three of the new dresses, and the reprint of the 4011 slim pants. Of course, I don't have any time for sewing right now, but I still love to look at them up close.

Ooh, the two new dresses are cute, particularly the stripey one...

I love the stripey baby doll knit dress too...I think that style may be too *young* for me though (I'm 44).

Love the look of the new Onion website! I found the old one a little confusing to navigate.

I'm lusting over the striped knit dress - I have the perfect fabric for it too! Terry, I don't think the style is too young, especially in the right fabric.

Terry, if you don't want to do a dress, you could do the tunic top length. I think that would look lovely, esp. over trousers instead of jeans for a slightly dressier look.

Yes, maybe you're right. A long-sleeved tunic would be fine. I should have looked at all the technical drawings instead of just the baby-doll dress...I think it was the combo of high waist, short puffy sleeves and short length that had me slowly backing away

Oh yes, the new website is so much better - the old one was confusing for us Danes as well...;-)
I love the stripey baby doll dress as well, I think you could wear it over pants though, to make it look "older"?

I can't seem to get the same page stuff that you ladies are talking about, and I can't read a word of dutch!!! I can however see the two dresses. As far as navigating the site I get the blog and a section on knitting different clothes but no patterns, Help!

Hi Bobbie: Not sure why you can't see the link properly, but here is a site run by Maria, which offers information and instructions for the Danish Onion patterns in English. Shop Onion (English) I would look at the main Onion site for their new designs and entire collection, and then visit Maria's site for information in English....

To see the patterns on the main Onion site, click on "collections" (for adult patterns), then on the right you'll see categories to click on (Jakken=Jackets, and so on). You may learn a little danish along the way Good luck and happy browsing!

I love that striped dress. In my next life I'm going to be taller and thinner. And younger.
