It never snows where I live in Texas, especially not in April. It was 83 degrees on Thursday, now it is 31 and sleeting and snowing and it is actually sticking. My two dds are thrilled, they actually get to see it snow. I just can not believe it.
I was just wondering if anyone else was having weird weather like we are right now.

My deepest sympathies to you! I just saw the snow in Texas on the news -- that is awful. I'm in Minnesota and our high for Easter is suppose to be 33 degrees -- 20 some degrees lower than average. So we're having awful weather too. This morning it was 18 with a windchill of 0! And we had 80 a few weeks ago too. Go figure....

This is the first Easter in my lifetime that it was this cold. Supposed to get down into the 30's here too tonight. Waaay weird. We painted the porch Friday not even thinking about this weather. I guess with the rain and cold it will take a week to dry now!

Yeah, we're suffering here in Florida, too. We could use rain and lots of it..but no, just sun sun and more sun. Nah....you don't want to hear about it. In truth, I think we're supposed to get record lows tonight, but record lows here for April are not particularly impressive.

Yes, it is very cold here in Arkansas too. I drove around yesterday and saw lots of frozen azaleas, tulips, and other flowers. Time for the annual Frozen Tulip Festival.

Not snowing here, but way, way too cold for outdoor Easter Egg Hunt. It's in the 20's.
Sooo, as soon as I get off this computer I'll be hiding Easter Eggs indoors for the grandkids.
We originally planned to grill steaks today, but because it's so darn cold, I'm cooking ham and a leg of lamb.

We woke up to 5" of snow yesterday. Last night was about 25 D. A week ago it was 80D. This is very weird weather. The cold probably got all the fruit trees that had already bloomed & the spring flowers. It's about 25D colder than normal & has been like this now for a week.

Our local garden store had their outdoor display of annuals all crammed inside the store...clearly hadn't ever intended them to come inside or budgeted space for them, so they were literally packed into the aisles to keep from freezing!
So much for white hats and gloves. It's not snowing here--if it were, I think I'd dig out a snowflake sweater and wear it to Easter services, just for fun.
