Vote for your favorite in the Wardrobe 2007 contest.

Vote for your favorite in the One Pattern - Multiple Looks contest.

* If you think you already voted in the wardrobe contest: if it was August 1st or 2nd, you have to place your vote again. The voting wasn't really open then, it just looked like it was.

The folks who entered put a lot of work into these, so we would like to see a lot of votes. It won't be easy making a decision, but worth looking through and picking an entry.

I'll put this in a new thread once voting opens so it will be easy to find.

How to vote:

  1. Make certain you are in the voting period. August 3 to 9 for the wardrobe contest. August 1 to 10 for the one pattern contest.
  2. Then, go to the contest gallery page. (Link is in the bar on the left side of the page.) Select the appropriate contest.
  3. Agonize over which to vote for. Click on the 'read review' link. Enlarge the pictures. Narrow your choices down. Link over to & read the individual garment reviews.
  4. Finally, go back to the Contest Gallery page and click on the 'vote for this item' link.

With a great wardrobe that's still in the flat-fabric stage.

It is just awful having only one vote! I would like to give 1 vote to each person who actually completed this awesome task in such a ridiculously short time. I don't know how it could be possible. And then I need some extra votes for most pleasing result, most entertaining/intruiging theme, quickest completion (there is one with 48 hours!), most number of items and most original items.

I did vote - I just went for the one I found most aesthetically pleasing. But I feel quite bad about it!

I've got to say - I had a horrible time trying to pick only 1 from each contest. Everything was so beautiful. Congratulations to all for getting entire wardrobes completed.

Question:

Are those the entries that completed ALL the requirements?

What I'm saying is I think I see some without an accessory or without a jacket.

Please help.

ETA: Also, some seem to have a lot of clothes and some not so.

I'm completely floored by those wonderful wardrobes! Voting was very difficult. You all did a fantastic job!
And Anne, thanks for this post as I didn't know how to vote, this is my first vote ever. I loved seeing what everyone made.

Donna, as a participant I think I can answer your question: only the wardrobes that met all the requirements are in the "finals." The requirements were 10 garments and an accessory; more tops than bottoms, and the accessory could be a jacket, or a purse, or a headband, or "something" that went with everything else in the wardrobe.

The minimum was 11 items but any above that number just counted as extra. I don't know how anyone could do more than the minimum, I had a hard enough time making those in the contest period!

I also like how you can't tell how many people voted for a person.

That way I'm not influenced by everyone else's votes.

Thanks for that!

Actually, the 10 items include the accessory.

You were also allowed to count the jacket as an accessory, so you might see an entry that appears to be 11 garments, no accessory, but as long as one of those garments is a jacket, it falls under the rules.

And finally, with regard to the number of items, I'm personally trying to focus on the core 10 elements - some folks have mentioned in reviews that this item or another is an "extra" so that helps. In my mind that helps to even the playing field for us "slow-poke" sewers! :)
