I didn't think finding an arm sling pattern would be so difficult. My Dad had his pacemaker replaced yesterday and his shoulder and arm is very sore. He would like to wear a sling so I'm going to make one. I was hoping there would be a free pattern somewhere online, but I'm not having any luck. I guess I will actually have to invent a pattern. Look how lazy I am, I'm sure it would be easy. If you've seen one, though, I'd like to see it. Thanks.

Sherril,

If you go down a bit you'll see a line drawing of one. That should help you to make one. It looks pretty simple:

Arm sling

Thanks Donna. That's the same thing I found so I did make my own pattern. Dad's very happy with his new arm sling. Do you think I should do a review of it?

Yes, do a review. Heck, you sewed it up AND you made your own pattern for it.

Great job!

Now I know where I can go to get a pattern for an arm sling, should I ever need one.

Why not? I reviewed the one that I made for my DS a few years back. I appliqued dinosaurs on it to make him feel better about his cast. His class mates loved it. He didn't want to toss it when the cast was removed ...

Like Miss Frizzle says "Take chances, make mistakes ..." isn't that what fitting is all about? I am happily taking chances and making mistakes as I fit muslin after muslin ...
