Hi Cat. We have a Los Angeles thread that the OC PR members jump in on. Welcome to PR. I live in Pomona, but a lot of the So. Cal. people are from OC.

I'm in San Clemente, but my favorite part about sewing is being all by myself Have you looked into the American Sewing Guild for your area? Our chapter is pretty active.

Hi Cat! I'm in Yorba Linda. Where in OC are you? I get to fit my sewing in around family activities (i.e. 10 minutes at a time!). I just dream of more time.

(and Sherril, I've made and fitted that cover that you were so kind to help me with, but the dressform still needs a bust reduction with a knife. Not there yet...hanging head sheepishly.... ) I owe you big time for your help!

I can't ever make any of the ASG meetings since they seem to happen plunk in the middle of picking the kids up from school or a scout activity or something. I am an ASG member though. I hope to someday be able to attend an activity!

There are several of us here in the Greater LA area and we do get together on occasion. I'm in Long Beach.

Whoa! Totally cool! Thanks for the responses! I'm in Costa Mesa. I'll check out the Guild.

I like sewing alone and with people. When I get together with people it gets me all excited to go home and sew. Plus, well, I kind am forced to actually finish project because people nag me.

I am the master of unfinished projects and fabriciholism.

Hi, I live in North Orange County. Some of the regional threads on PR are very active, and I hope the LA/OC thread will also be as active because it would be useful to ask questions that are of interest only to those of us living in S. CA. For example, does anyone know if issues of BOFE magazines are available for sale in LA or Orange counties? I've called several Borders near my home and none of them carry this magazine.

I'm in Huntington Beach --- are any of you planning to attend the ETA Sewing Expo in November? Maybe we can meet for lunch on Saturday?

I find my Burda WOF at the German deli
Isn't there an octoberfest "town" down in the south bay area? I can't recall the name, but try there.
