Date: 8/23/07 7:49 PM Wow - you read my mind - I was just looking for that old thread, to see what patterns were suggested.
Love your fabric...how were you able to shop online? (Or did you?) I would love to look through their tweeds, but can't seem to find a listing of them, only the featured fabrics.

Date: 8/23/07 8:14 PM I would love to join in with this sewalong, but summer is fast approaching here in Oz. I have some beautiful Linton Tweed too. I'll be following along with you, but watching from the sidelines
Have fun..jackets are great projects

Date: 8/23/07 9:57 PM Your Linton is gorgeous! I would love to participate but have a big household move coming up this fall. It will be Spring before my Bernina hums again, I fear! |

Date: 8/23/07 11:28 PM You can order from them by sending a swatch request. I always ask for novelty weaves and then if you had a color in mind and then they'll mail them out to you. They are FAST I ordered on monday. Linton Direct
I'm thinking about using the same pattern that Erica B is but I might draft from scratch to ensure I can get the plaid to match. I'll definately have to "deflate" the sleeve ease. ------ http://sewunnecessary.blogspot.com |

Date: 8/24/07 6:13 PM I always say that I'm going to join in on a Sew Along but I always get sidetracked. I read this topic last night and promptly went rummaging through my patterns. I've come up with some possiblities, but now that there is a thunderstorm approaching and I have to get offline, I'll have something to do whilst waiting for the storm to pass. I might even have enough time for a pattern adjustment or two. ------ Melody
