Date: 9/7/07 7:49 PM Thanks for pointing this out! I am hopelessly behind on the reviews, and probably would have missed it. Absolutely lovely.
The other clothing that won places are also very nice. It would be fun to be able to read the 'story' behind each of them.

Date: 9/7/07 9:02 PM I have been reading this site quite a bit the last few days and I somehow missed this review. The details on the dress are very well done! Bound buttonholes! WOW! This is what sewing is about - making the item your own original creation. |

Date: 9/7/07 9:07 PM I wonder if we have other PR members among the winners. I noticed that one of the winners is named Beth Ellis, and we do have a PR member by that name.
Piggyannie's dress is beyond awesome. ------ Carolyn

Date: 9/7/07 9:23 PM Thank you for drawing attention to Annie's incredible achievement. I can't think of anything that would inspire me to learn to sew faster than the prospect of a trip to the City of Light, unless it was a FREE trip to the City of Light
Congratulations, Annie, and enjoy your trip. Your dress is stunning. My head is still spinning at all the 'firsts' you incorporated into it - sewing with silk charmeuse, bound buttonholes through the tulle overlay and silk, french seams on godets, etc. You earned your prize; enjoy every minute of it. I hope you get to see Montmartre and the fabric shops below Sacré Coeur, and the Issey Miyake Boutique in the Place des Vosges. Wear your dress with pride, you look beautiful in it Don't be surprised if someone stops you in the street to ask you who designed it. It's a remarkable accomplishment.
Again, warmest congratulations.

Date: 9/7/07 9:48 PM I thought it looked like her as well but I am so bad at remembering faces and putting faces with names that I dared not to assume that it was.
If any of our othr PR members are among the winners I hope they inform us so we can celebrate their accomplishments as well.
In the mean time I will go drool over the winning dress again!! ------ Buy fabric - check

Date: 9/8/07 9:40 AM I am very proud and happy for our fellow PR members that have earned such honorable accolades.
But, I am not the least bit surprised. There is a wealth of knowledge, skill and experience on this site, which can be directly attributed to the members.
