I love the simple lines of this dress V8449, although at 5'1" tall I'm not sure I can get away with it.
I also like this jacket.
Did Joann's Vogue sale end yesterday?

I really love the V8444 dress for a holiday dress! The new Tilton jacket V8454 looks like it would compliment a number of figures and would be a great holiday jacket as well.

Nothing to do with the patterns, but their mock-ups show the shiny / matte charmeuse trend.
I like some of the vintage re-issue dresses: 1011 and 1019.
Nothing really grabs me, though. Some of the other garments are too poufy for my preferences, or similar to other patterns I have, or just not my style.
I do like the skirt in 8461, though. I missed the New Look version when it was out a couple of years ago.
I just picked up a couple of Vogue patterns from the previous batch, though. 2983 for the jacket, and 2989 for the cardigan. I think that is a great alternative for a cardigan style.
(And yes, the sale ended yesterday.)
With a great wardrobe that's still in the flat-fabric stage.

WOW...almost all either vintage, vintage inspired or just plain "stuff from the past." All have a familiar look from the 30s on to the 80s. Kind of a dressy collection.

I was intrigued with the

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Love some of these designs. The Sandra Betzina skirt is very tempting. I too wondered about the notice at the end of the email , 'January 2008', are the patterns not available till then?

I have a Liz Lange maternity skirt from my 1st pregnancy that is in the same style as 8461. It is, by far, one of my favorite skirts ever...in fact, it was one piece of maternity wear I was excited to pull back out for Round 2. It's very flattering to any shape (pregnant or not)...the only reason I didn't wear it post-pregnancy was just on the no-more-maternity! principle. I was actually planning on tracing it off and attempting to copy it. My version is in a buttery soft knit with a wide (3") flat elastic waistband...doesn't look at all like elastic and it's soooo comfy! I can't wait to get this pattern!!!
I do like the pants they're showing, too, but they're going to have to wait, as will the dresses...it's empire waists for the next 6 months I'm afraid. (sigh)
