Hi all,

I did a search on the past threads/reviews and I didn't find anything, so I'm wondering if any of you have tried the patterns from Pattern Company. They seem to have interesting designs but they are quite pricey, that's why I'd like to hear your comments.

Thanks!

WOW! I've never seen these patterns before. I would also like to learn more about them.

How can that be possible? A range of patterns that nobody has ever heard here? Does that even exist?

On a more serious note, I read one comment on another forum, seems like the person who made a pair of pants (don't ask me which one though) from Pattern Company was absolutely delighted by their wonderful fit... so who knows, might be a hidden gem?

Hi, Marie Claude!

I haven't tried any of their patterns, but Tini and RuthieK have reviewed one of the jackets:
Tini's review
RuthieK's review

And there are a couple of older reviews from Bettina Messmer:
Skirt
Pants

If you should try any, I'd love to hear what you think!

Ah that explains it! I was typing "Pattern Company" in the search engine, not "PatternCompany"! No wonder I wasn't getting any hits!

I'll examine their designs more closely the coming days and I might order one or two, just to see!

Hi Marie-Claude,
I recently made up a muslin from a Pattern Company pattern. It's a raglan top with a high neckline in the back. I only had two tweak some minor fitting problems and I think it's a really flattering style. If I have finished the top in real fabric, I will review the pattern here.
I especially liked at the pattern that it runs true to sizing, because with other pattern companies I often have to go down some sizes in knits to acchieve the look on the photo.
I didn't try a pants pattern from pattern company yet, but on the german sewing forum www.hobbyschneiderin.de you can find many pictures from pattern company pants which fit really well. Many sewers there say, that the patterns form a especially nice behind
Perhaps I should also try them

I agree with you that the patterns are really pricey, even here in Germany, but I think they are very well drafted and if there is a certain style, which no other pattern company has, you should give it a try. The patterns also include seam allowances which might be of interest for you in the U.S. who are used to included seam allowances.

Hi Barbara,

That top sounds really nice. I would love to see it when you've finished it!

They certainly are expensive, considering how low the dollar is these days! Very nice, though
