This was my first really nice machine. I bought it more than 20 years ago, used it almost everyday and it still sews just as perfectly today as it did when it was new. In the 20+ years that I had the machine, I never had to take it in for anything. The routein cleaning is all it ever needed.

I sold the machine two years ago when I bought my 6600P. The lady who bought it uses it every day. She has had no problems - it is ready to sew when she is. I offered to buy it back from her a couple of weeks ago and her response was "fat chance"!

The only thing I did not love about this machine was the zipper foot. It was ok but not great.

Enjoy your machine!

The MC7000 was also my first "good" machine. I still have it as my back up or just when I need another sewing machine for assembly line sewing. I also got the 6600. Love both machines.
