Mine is fairly prosaic...my first name and last initial and a number chosen completely at random and which bears absolutely no relationship to the year of my birth.

Mine is the result of 1) having a mother who wanted something that sounded right with a German last name and 2) marrying someone whose ancestors' German surname was mutilated by US immigration officials. NOT MY FAULT!

Nancy is my first name, and 2001 is the year I first started using the internet in a serious way. Hard to believe that was only seven years ago. Time flies when you're having fun.

I started "touring" the internet in about 1995. I felt like a tourist, traveling around the world and meeting people. So it is tourist. And 1955 is a perfectly lovely year to not be born inI speak from personal non-experience.

Topshelf Pod is a combination of a childhood nickname - Pod -first letter of Paula, my first name, and od for the "odd" sisters - Pod, Cod, Dod, and Sod - my sister and cousins. My family still calls me Pod and my husband added the "Topshelf" when he discovered I always go for the top of the line luxury model in anything I buy. (I imagine you need to be at least 50 years old to remember when the smoothest, most expensive whiskey was always displayed on the "top shelf" of the bar!) When I had to pick a user name, Pod was taken so I shortened it to Topshelf.

I LOVE this thread!!! Mine is for the fact that I'm a died-in-the wool, bleeding crimson and gray Washington State University Cougars fan. I don't think anyone can tell by the photo, with the school flag on the Space Needle!
