This morning around 5 AM my Mom died peacefully in her sleep. This is a mixed blessing in a manner of speaking. She has been moving along in that direction and it is her time, but I shall miss her deeply -- I do miss her.

Since late summer as Mom's decline began, I tripped over PR and it has become a place to dream of resuming sewing and in particular for myself. Hopefully I have helped a person or two along the way. You have all given me a place to go when I just could not add another drop to the friends and family I see daily. You have given me a place to go to escape, to hope, to plan and to dream as well as a place where at times I could offer to assist. All of this has been part of the bigger picture of coping and facing the inevitable. It is a differently busy time right now. I will return in time.

Thank you.

My hope is to sew to the very end. They'll find my head slumped over my precious Kenmore 19606 and have to pry the seam ripper from my cold, dead hands.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your mom.

While you'll be busy, you'll be in my thoughts. We will be here when you return.
