This year we are having 3 PR Weekends!!! One in Europe (July) , one in East Coast (NYC) and one in West Coast. Lets discuss them here. I am getting goosebumps just thinking about these three! Hopefully I'll make it to 2 of them :)

Barring any more family tragedies like last year, I'm hoping to be at this year's NYC trip.  With any luck I'll even find some more hidden gems between now and then to share with the group!

If I'm going to go, I had best make some inroads on my fabric stash, so I have some "vacancies"!  I love the idea of having multiple PR weekends.  It would be really special if anyone from a different area makes it to another gathering, but I expect more people will have a chance of making their regional versions.

Ann, keep scoping out all the NY shops!  (Same with those that actually live in the NY city area! )

Deepika, do we have a date in mind?

I'm due with baby on 16th September, so 2 weeks either way isn't good for me at all.....you don't want me going into labour in Spandex House!

I'm thinking you'll say November like last year, although earlier then September is easier for me!!

Pre September I will want to share a room, after birth DH will be dragged into the city to babysit while I shop.

Excited already....

Well Lou, I was thinking since November is the "birth month" of PR, that's when we should have the PR Weekends. But it's entirely up to you guys. Summer time usually people go on vacations so that's not good either.

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking of having a section on PR weekends (EC - east coast, WC - west coast and Europe) on the homepage. All these will link to the message boards. I think we need official Event Reps for all these who will then be responsible for the following:

1. Creating a poll on the message boards for the location (if not determined already).
2. Finalizing the dates for the PR Weekend ( I would prefer that the east and west coast happen in November since its PR's birth month)
3. Sending me newsletter blurbs so I can include it every time I send out the newsletter.

and basically just managing the whole event. Of course event managers can ask others for help.

what do you all think? I volunteer to be the event manager for East Coast PR Weekend 2004.

I really hope I can go this year.  If I know soon enough I can probably work out my schedule to include the EC weekend.  You guys all had so much fun last year....I want to have fun too.

I hope to make it this year too!  Although, like Ann, I currently have *no* vacancies (in fact, I have a long wait list, lol) in my fabric closet.  I'm hoping this summer brings loads of high profit/low time-commitment jobs so that I get plenty of sewing time in between now and then. :tounge:

Gigi, I went to the PR Weekend and did not buy fabric!  I did however, buy a nice big bag of trims, had fun at the pyjama party and got lots of goodies in the swap, and had a great time at the moroccan restaurant.  It just depends on your level of willpower...(er, notoriously bad right? )  I just wanted to point out that it is possible.

Gigi YES!!! you can do it... if you think you can do it you will come I know it. Surely you can squeeze a weekend :)

Georgene is right. Its all about willpower. I have a strong will to sew up all the fabric I bought last year before we meet for this year's PR weekend.

Every time I think about the pajama party I crack up. We had so much fun!
