Do you have one? Mine has to be the dritz chalk wheel. It's so easy to just roll that thing! lol

What about you? Anything you grab everytime you sew?

My Olfa cutting mats, rulers and rortary cutters. I have the three mats that clip together to make a surface 36 x 72 inches, and the rulers are perfectly calibrated to the cutting mats. I also like the open blade on the Olfa cutter much better than the Dritz version - it's a bit more dangerous, but I like the precision.

Olfa makes a great system and I love using it!

Gingher micro-serrated dressmaker shears. I have several and I just got a new pair today (50% off JoAnn's). I wouldn't want to have to do without them.

I use dozens of notions, and I love them all. But if I had to single one out for special honors, it would obviously have to be Wonder Tape.

Let me see, I have a lot of favorite things: my thread clippers and magnetic needle catchers - I have a set at every machine; rotary cutting mats, rotary & electric scissors and some of my sewing machine feet. If I had to choose just one thing, it would be my steam generator iron.

Melody - those are my favorite hand scissors.

Oh, this is an easy one! Hands down, my Olfa rotary cutter adjustable arm guide. It makes traced patterns SOOOOO much more pleasant to cut! Rounding out the top 3 would be Steam a Seam and my tailor's ham.

You and me, too! In fact, I still have the very same one I bought as a new wife 39 years ago. It amazes me that I haven't lost it over all these years! Some sewists don't like it at all, but I have found it quite useful.

ETA: I mean the little Dritz sliding guage...not Towanda's iron!

Wash away wonder tape, definitely. Rotary cutter and mats are up there too.
