I never set up a new account after Yahoo! took their's down last year or so. What sites are people using now, how do you like them, and what features/limitations made you choose the one you did?

I only just recently started using Photobucket and I love it! It's free, simple to use, and it even has some photo editing capabilities. The two most common things I've seen people using are Photobucket and Flickr. I've never used Flickr so I can't comment on that.

I have an account with all three, PictureTrail, Flickr and Photobucket. Don't ask me why because even I don't know why. Maybe I'm a collector at heart as I also have a large fabric and pattern stash.

Of the three I find PictureTrail to be streets ahead of the other two. I do have a paid account though. I like it so much I'm prepared to pay. I was equally happy with the free acoount when I had one, but that was many years ago.

Out of Flickr and Photobucket I can't say I like either of them. I have the free account with both of them and I find them both annoying, both from a user point of view and when looking at other people's photos.

Just my opinion. I'm sure others will disagree.

I recently took all my non-sewing pictures off my sewing web site and put them on picasaweb, a subset of google. Picasaweb is linked to my online gmail account (and I like gmail's calendar function, too).

Mary, I have Picasa but I've had problems using it for a avatar photo and I think others have had problems using Picasa for the interactive photo feature in the PR Gallery. Have you had the same issues or have you been able to find a solution?

I use Winkflash. In addition to being a great place to keep photos to share, they are the best photo developing I've used. The pictures always come out fantastic.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful suggestions. I guess since most of the services are free, there's no harm in opening an account in each one and doing an actual trial!
