Subject: Origami welt - what is it? Date: 5/1/08 2:05 PM I'm wondering if anyone can share a picture of an origami welt? I'm not sure that I know what it is... the "origami" part is confusing me. Thanks! ------

Subject: Re: Origami welt - what is it? Date: 5/1/08 8:21 PM I understand the confusion, but the "origami" description refers more to the construction. This technique will work for pocket flaps or welts for pockets, that are "square-ish"(four sided). I transfer the seams at the narrow ends to the back side, making the entire edge of the flap sit on a fold. So, this isn't a weird pocket, but a type of construction. Did that make sense? |
