Can anyone tell me which embroidery format that the Bernina Deco 340 uses? I presently have all my designs in pes, and I am wondering if they can be used on a Deco.
Thanks,
Scraffy

Bernina Deco machines used to use pes format. The newer Deco was mfg. by Janome, I believe, so I'm not sure. Is that info available on the Bernina website?

I am not sure about the 340,, but i would say either EXP or ART,, the ones i have,, the 600,, is PES,, and the 330, is EXP,,, but the 340 will not be PES,,

You can also purchase Embird which will convert your designs to the 340 format. I believe it is EXP that is acceptable.

How do you like the machine?

Just bought it today! I think I will really like it. It is much quieter than my Ellageo! Do you know if you can use a PEBasic design card in it or does it have to use another brand? I had to buy a Bernina jump drive as I was told that regular jump drives would cause it to "freeze up", but I don't understand why they would.

Which box? Will any brand work, or does it have to be a special type?

When I used the 340 you had to use an ATA Card. PES cards will not work. That is why you have to have conversion software. I highly recommend embird or Bernina's Editor Lite.
