I am going to be in Chicago in the last week of July and was wondering if anybody is interested in meeting at Vogue fabrics perhaps. I don't know of any other fabric stores... I'll be there from 27th-30th.

Well I'm a Chicagoan and I love Vogue Fabrics. 27th would be easiest for me (Sunday). I'll follow this thread and find out when you plan on going to Vogue (I think on Sundays they're open 12 - 5 pm) Or PM me. I think you'll love Chicago - beautiful skyline - the lake! - great food! and Vogue!

Hmmmm.....I get back from vacation Saturday the 26th. It's a stretch, but keep me in mind if a plan develops. I'll start practicing my plotting and scheming... I'd really love to check out Vogue.

I'm late to the discussion (thanks to Utz for the tip-off) but Sunday works best for me too...hey you know there's a good chance we could rent the classroom and sew that day!

the other thought is to meet at the Evanston store on Monday night (they're open until 9). There's a free sewing demo at 7 (the topic for the 28th is Decorate Your Piping: we done piping before but this takes it one fun step further). The store's also open late on Thursday night, but no sewing demo.

We should also see if Erin McKean is in town that week.....So many options!
