Registration starts next week for this, although the expo is not until the end of September - I'm curious if anyone has been to one in the past and if they thought it was worth going. They've got some great instructors like Connie Crawford and Kenneth King lined up.

Oh - and if you want more info the website is

I usually go every year. I haven't taken any classes in a while but when I did, they were quite well done. I also very much enjoy the shopping and the community of sewing folk.

I was able to attend it a couple of years ago and it was amazing. Go if you have the chance but plan your budget before you go....it is easy to drop alot of money there. Ask me how I know? Also the classes I took were excellent. I hope to return someday.

I've gone every year since 2005. I signed up for an all day class with Connie Crawford and a couple of workshops on Saturday and Sunday. I do not think I was able to use all that I learned because I just started sewing (2004). I think that if I were to take a class now, things would make much more sense. =)

I like to go to look at the wonderful creations, buy some unique patterns, and fabric.

I flew in from New Hampshire to go. I usually spend time in fitting classes but broke the mold and took fabric painting, beading, and other creative classes. I had a ball. And there were definitely more vendors than my local shows.

Well, I'm really excited about it now. I was only thinking about the classes - but now that I know I can shop too, I think I may be in serious trouble!

Thanks for posting this thread! I just looked at the list of seminars and it sounds wonderful! These sorts of expos and conferences tend to bypass NYC, so I'm thinking about making the trek to Michigan. Maybe I have enough frequent flyer miles to cover it. I have the support of DH and the kids so maybe...

Downloaded the brochure during lunch. I think I need to study it tonight at home and make some decisions. This year I actually might be able to make the time to attend.

I am thinking of taking this all-day class. Has anyone else ever taken this class?
