I've kind of been lurking for a few months but not really doing any sewing since the beginning of June. At that time I made a few pairs of slacks for myself but didn't do a review. I guess I just needed a break.

I went on an 11 day train trip across Canada that was fabulous. I've been doing a lot of baking - found a great recipe for homemade multi-grain bread that is fabulous. Been finding recipes and cooking fresh vegetable from out little garden - 3 tomato plants and a summer squash and a crookneck squash. Been doing some embroidery.

Now I'm back. I had this cute fabric panel for Rosie Rag Doll and I just love it. So - my inspiration is back. Hopefully I can do a few reviews soon on Rosie and some slacks I'm making.

I kind of like making those dolls so I purchased two patterns yesterday - one for three sizes of Raggedy Ann and Andy and one for baby dolls. My friend wants, again, to do a craft show. The two last year were unsuccessful so I'm thinking I want to make a few dolls and see how they sell.

Just wanted to let you know - I'm back.

We all need breaks now and then. Welcome back. What didn't sell at the craft shows?

I've missed your posts AND your reviews. Dolls are fun to make and dress.

Hi Mary!
I was wondeing where you were. Glad you got the sewing spirit back again. Would love to see the pants your making.
Your garden sounds like mine! Isn't it amazing how many tomatoes there are with only a few plants?

I was wondering where you were, too, Mary. Welcome back. I've read about that train trip across Canada and we've thought about doing that. It might be in our plans if the exchange rate between $CN and $US wouldn't eat us alive!

Yay. I am glad you went to Canada, baked bread and gardened a bit. It is always nice to take a break.

Hi Mary! You've been missed...you always make me smile!!

Glad to know you are doing well and having some fun (I must admit I'm a bit jealous...this summer has been a wild ride for me. I just want a snooze in the ol' hammock, especially with the fabulous weather we've had!!)

Anyway, welcome home! And btw, I love your little sewing man.
