Date: 8/26/08 5:43 PM DD and her family are relocating to Seattle in a couple of weeks. I want to integrate a P/P fit class with a visit but I think this date is a little too close.
Please update everyone when you get back. I'm dying to hear about your experiences!! I hope you have a great class! ------ Mary

Date: 8/27/08 11:51 AM I will definately let y'all know how it goes.
If anyone is interested in going and splitting a room, here are the rates, taxes are on top of the below. Palmer Pletsch has a deal setup with Monarch Hotel. The hotel picks you up at the airport, and shuttles you to Fabric Depot where the classes are held. There's no need for a rental car. For more info, see Palmer Pletsch's website
"Through 2008 your rate is only $85 for single/double rooms, $95 for a triple, $105 for a quad, and $169 for suites."
I'm arriving on the 2nd and checking out on the 7th, so that is 5 nights. -- Edited on 8/27/08 11:59 AM -- ------ Kristen |

Date: 8/27/08 12:39 PM You're going to love this class. I haven't attended any of P/P workshops, but living in Portland, I've taken fit classes with Marta and pant fit classes with Pati. They're both experts in fitting and really, really nice people. Enjoy and do let us know about your experience when you're done! |

Date: 8/28/08 0:26 AM You are going to have a great time. I attended the "Sewing Vacation" a few weeks ago. It was wonderful!!! I walked out of there with 8-10 new patterns fitted to me, an almost complete new suit (jacket, skirt and pants), another pair of pants, and a top. I learned so much too! Marta and Pati are wonderful at what they do and they are just wonderful warm people! I am hoping to go back next year. |

Date: 9/2/08 1:18 PM I haven't received an email yet with details about what I need to bring. I'm wondering if I should start looking at patterns I wanted to fit...did any of you bring your own patterns? ------ Kristen |

WOW!!! Yes, definitely tell us about it! I have looked at the dates and dream of going sometime in 2009. I didn't realize the hotel was so affordable!
I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful time. ------ Cindy Lou, no more than 2

Date: 9/13/08 3:10 PM I attended the fit class in July 2008. It was great.
Bring all the patterns you want to fit. After you fit the sloper it's a pattern fit free for all!
Plus you get a 30% discount on everything at Fabric Depot. Another great benefit is the catered lunch everyday.
You'll have a great time, Portland is beautiful this time of year.
