Here's a list of finalists for the PR Awards. The voting will go on for a month starting today.

We didnt get enough nominations in the Best Recycler Category so I had to drop that.

A little explanation on how I picked the finalists. Even though some of you were nominated in more than one category, I picked the ones in which you got nominated the most and choose the next highest nominated member in the other category. Makes sense?

Now what's next?

We need to pick from the finalists and on October 15th I'll announce the final winners in each category.

How cool is this!

Here's the page to Vote

I'll add the voting button to your profiles too soon.

Well, this might be harder than coming up w/ the candidates in the 1st place. While there are many that fit each description, the finalists are certainly a great pool to select from.

I feel like I'm on the Oscar selection committee.

Coming up with the candidates in the 1st place, though, sure was hard! Just when I thought I’d decided on a nominee, I would remember *another* person to consider. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane, as it led me to revisit so many reviews that have inspired me.

Congratulations to the finalists and thank you for all that you contribute to this site and my own sewing!

Where's the jaw-dropping emoticon when I need it?

I went to look at the nominees and was shocked to see myself in the list!

I'm going to have to wait until my head quits spinning to comment about that coherently, but I will say that I read over all the categories and don't know how in the world to pick in most of the cases. All those ladies are fabulous at what they do.

this is gonna be tough.

Lisa, I had to get an emailed clue before I knew. I feel very honored, but my favorite funny reviewer is running against me. Can't you imagine McCain or Obama saying "It's nice, but I want to vote for the other guy....

I can imagine...not O'bama and McCain, but here, in this case.
I was so surprised, and honored to find my name on that list, but I have no illusions about who is the most helpful poster around here, and it isn't me . ;)
Still, I consider it an amazing honor just to be nominated.

It was really hard to vote, because I wasn't familiar with everyone on the list. So I had to go and look at a lot of reviews so I was voting for the best person, not just the one I was most familiar with.

These awards are such a great idea!

It is quite an honor! Especially considering other people nominated in the same category! Voting is hard...

Shock doesn't even begin to describe how I felt when I saw my name on the list. My reviews wouldn't be half as helpful if I didn't need to do quite so many alterations.

I'll tell you what... ALL of the nominees deserve an award! You all are so good at what you do.
