The longer skirt and corset are fabulous!  If I was more ambitious I'd make them.  but I suppose it's too formal for a wedding guest to wear.  It'd look better on the bride.

I want the updated Claire Schaeffer jacket pattern: 7908. I have her other jacket pattern, but it is a bit dated in style.

This Miyake pattern looks interesting: 2814, but I don't think I'd wear it. Hopefully someone else will review it!

And look, high-waisted pants: 2813

Oh, the Miyake is fabulous!  The twist seems to be everywhere suddenly, but the Miyake is tha most interesting interpretation I've seen.

(It could maybe work for my figure as well! I'm short so I cant wear the voluminous styles. )

Oooh, I love that Miyake!  There's one for the wishlist.  I also really like the new Claire Shaeffer, and have been thinking about getting that for the fall.  I've been thoroughly unimpressed with Vogue's patterns for the last year or so - maybe they are finally starting to regroup?  I hope so!

PS, Candyo, I also think that corset/skirt is spectacular, but I'm not sure it would be good wedding guest attire - you'd outshine the bride!  lol!

Nikki, why did you have to show me that jacket? !  I love it.  Definitely going on my wish list.

I've noticed a few high-waisted styles.  I bought another one, Vogue 7362 (which already seems to be OOP) that had an interesting neckline, and was either a dress or a top w/ a high-waisted skirt.

With a great wardrobe that's still in the flat-fabric stage.

I love that Claire Shaeffer jacket. Hmmm... the high waisted pants. I'm just getting used to the low waisted pants. Well, I'll never get used to the ones I see on the young girls who have folded the waistband (hip band??) even *lower* than they are meant to be. I'll be happy when that style goes away!
Vogue really is getting better.

Has anyone seen the new patterns in the store yet?  Hancock's has 75% off vogue patterns this weekend.  I'm going to need to pick up a few of these.  I ordered the Claire Schaeffer pattern from the vogue pattern magazine; I think that it is quite smart looking.  I hope that someone makes up the Miyake soon and reviews it.  I've never made one but love to see the reviews.

Wow!  those patterns are great!  How about this evening dress:
one shouder evening gown.
Will someone please invite me to a party so I can make this?

The question is do you buy now, or do you wait until you're sure your going to make it up.  Here in my Joann's they don't restock their Vogue patterns very regularly, so if someone buys your size it will be months before you will see it again.  But, if you buy now, you may never make it, or Vogue will release a better pattern.  What to do, What to do.
