First off I am not a citizen of the USA, but I thought McCain's speech was wonderful. It was a very gracious speech and he kept the crowd in line when they got too expressive of their disappointment.

I only caught the tail end of Barak's speech when he spoke of Alice Cooper voting at the age of 106. I felt the parts I heard were well done too.

I was very pleased to see that both McCain and Obama had gracious speeches, full of reconciliation and the need to work together to overcome the enormous challenges the US currently faces.

I am once again very impressed with what a wonderful speaker Obama is.

I agree. Both speeches were wonderful. Now that the election is over, I hope all Americans can come together and work to find solutions to the issues that our country is currently facing.

I am from Australia, and was only able to watch Barack Obama's speech on TV here. I really loved what he said, and the hope the speech contained.

Impressed too .... I have been watching from Australia
Obama's speech was very emotional. I too hope that Americans (and the world) can come together and my hubby (US/AUS dual citizen) can now get on with the house painting.
Best wishes to all my US friends

Yes, tears of joy here, too!

The new President was born and raised in Hawaii, where almost everyone is multi-cultural. With that kind of background, and his great intellect, I have high hopes that he'll be a great President for all of us.

I was very impressed by both speeches, too, especially their themes of "let's pull together."

I was so impressed by Mc Cain's gracious and elegant speech. This thoghtful upstanding man was not who I think many of us saw during the election season.

I was truly impressed.

Actually I was impressed with how each of the candidates spoke about the other...I have a theory that McCain's condolance calll to Obama changed how they saw each other.

Yes I voted for Obama...yes it is amazing to wake my kids up to this new day.

What an amazing and emotion-filled night.

John McCain gave us a wonderful speech. It couldn't have been easy, yet he rose to the occasion with dignity and grace.

Our new president-elect has a daunting task. But Barack Obama has shown us throughout his campaign that he's ready, willing and able to lead our nation.
