I'm new to Nashville. Looking for other sewers. There are a ton of musicians here.... but so far I haven't met any sewing friends.
I need to find the good shops... both fabric and sewing machine dealers. Maybe they can suggest classes or sewing groups where I might meet some people!

I don't know which side of Nashville you are on but Sally Cheney's in Rivergate (corner of Nashville Pike and Conference Dr.) has alot of classes. They are a Pfaff and Babylock dealer.

The American Sewing Guild has a chapter in Nashville area--great opportunity to meet lots of fun sewing enthusiasts. www.asg.org

There is a very good fabric store in Nashville called Textile Fabric Store. There is a very positive review of the store on Pattern Review. Here is a link to their website.
I don't know anything about their online store, but I really enjoyed visiting the store. Too bad it is so far away for me. I can be in Asheville, NC in 1.5 hrs., but it is 4-5 hrs. to Nashville. What a great city it is though -- admittedly prejudiced! :-)

I am also looking for a sewing community in Nashville but I'm absolutely no help because I'm a beginner and do not have a sewing machine in Nashville. If you find out anything, please be sure to post it! I'm definitely going to try Textile Fabrics as soon as I get back to Nashville.
