Annika, Are you planning to go to Puyallup? Do you live near? Just "sussing things out a bit" - have never been to US and dying to go to Sewing Expo. Winifred

Hi Winifred!
I live about 20 miles from the Puyallup Fairgrounds and am planning on going to the Sewing Expo this year. If you can manage to get here to the Seattle area you should definitely come to the Expo - lots of seminars, lots of people selling all sorts of sewing-related things, notions, fabric, patterns, etc.
I think it would be great if Pattern Review had a presence there this coming year - maybe a PR get together on one of the days/nights.

I've been pining to go for years. I live nearby, but work weekends.

However, with a PR GTG, I would try to get time off.

It would be fun.

I'll be there all 4 days, but will be attending the Quilters Night Out on Thursday and Nancy Zieman's friday night session. Can we arrange something during the day? I've been hoping for something this since I missed the Seattle PR day.

I just picked up the brochure at Pacific Fabrics in Bremerton today.

I am really looking forward to this. I usually only go 1 day, trying to get there for the first free fashion show, then wander around the vendors after the fashion shows.
Last year we did some of the seminars, these were the 45 min. ones. DD & I really enjoyed those, and want to attend again.

A PR get together would be fun. I wasn't able to make it to the Seattle PR either.

I'll be off on Friday the 27th, but could arrange additional time off if I know far enough ahead.

btw I live about an hour away from the Puyallup Fairgrounds.

I printed off the brochure the other night and briefly got to look at it. I plan to go, but I'm not sure which day. It will be a one day trip for me.

I've pretty much decided not to go this year. I wasn't too enthused last year, and if you exclude the seminars that I've already seen because they are identical to what the speaker has been doing for the last four years, it doesn't leave me enough of interest for a single day!

*sigh*

WHY do so many of these great speakers do the same presentation year after year, show after show?

I am going this year. I can't wait. I am interested in anything to do with garment fitting and sewing. Let me know if you all want to meet up and have lunch or something.

Well, how many of us are going on the Friday? Maybe we can meet up? Let's take a count and see!
