Date: 1/18/09 6:40 AM Check out the Sewing Stores review link on the left side PR and search by location for Cincinnati. You'll see five stores reviewed. I haven't been to any of them but have visited the booths of Banasch's and St. Theresa's Textile Trove at the Cincinnati sewing expo. Wonderful, unique fabrics at St. Theresa and Banasch's had a nice variety of things as well. ------ Lori

Date: 1/18/09 8:58 AM Thanks. I called myself searching there, but must have done something wrong. Sorry for the unnecessary post. |

Date: 1/18/09 9:19 AM Banasch's is the most interesting for fabrics you would sew as "normal" garments. St. Theresa's is wonderful for very unusual fabrics, trim type fabrics, one of a kind, fabrics from Africa, and hand made fabrics. Hope that helps. Banasch's is in Rookwood Pavilion with plenty of parking, and St. Theresa's is downtown and be prepared to hunt for parking on the street. Have fun! ------ Let's...BUILD A HUT! (or a yert).

Date: 1/18/09 3:40 PM Banasch's Fabrics also have a TDF button inventory.
I read recently, perhaps here on PR, that they were moving. |

Date: 2/5/09 7:47 PM They did move. They are around the corner in Rookwood Pavilion side, not the Rookwood Commons side. Apparently this is a temporary place, at least until May 09. Much bigger place, but terrible lighting. They needed the old place to put in some big retailer. ------ "You are in charge of your own ride!"

Date: 12/18/09 10:15 AM They haved moved into the store on Redbank Road. I haven't had a chance to go in and check it out yet. I hope this works out for them, they have had quite a few moves recently. The sewing supply store on Redbank is fun to look through as well. They will let you shop in the warehouse side and have lots of great professional sewing supplies. I think the idea of having the fabric store there as well is a good idea- it makes me happy! |
